Words cannot sufficiently express how enjoyable a time we had here at Les Vieux Chais this past week. Notwithstanding the beauty of the area and in particular the ambience and character of la Maison de Maître, your genuine hospitality and welcoming desire to make our stay comfortable and memorable has left a lasting impression with us. From the time of our very early/or late 0030hrs arrival and your enthusiastic welcome, we have certainly been impressed. As a timeshare owner we have stayed in many memorable places, however, none of the accommodations and staff can come close to Les Vieux Chais. You have certainly set the benchmark!
We wish you all success in your endeavours but our selfish side would like to keep Les Vieux Chais our secret. Thank you once again for your kindness and friendship. (July 2008)

Unlike most of your guests, we came here to work – and what a lovely relaxing place to use as our base for photography! Les Vieux Chais has definitely played an input in bringing this book to fruition, so thank you for making it possible! The Maison de Maître is a delightful and comfortable place to live and your garden is a continuing delight. We all hope to return some day for an actual vacation in this part of France. (July 2008)

Les Vieux Chais is such an interesting building and Bourg-Charente makes a wonderful base from which to visit so many lovely places in the area – Cognac, Jarnac, La Roche Courbon, cruise on the river and not forgetting a tour of the Hennessy Distillation Plant.
